Finger, TN: Henry Edward Jacobs age 78, passed away, Saturday, February 19, 2022 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.

He was born December 28, 1943, in Memphis and raised at Pocahontas, TN, the son of the late Henry Gordon and Mary Ettie Brumblow Jacobs. He graduated from Selmer High School in 1961. He married Linda Barnes in 1965 and was drafted to the US-Army serving in Vietnam. After the service he went to Crump Vocational School and graduated with a degree in electrical technology. He began working for Proctor & Gamble in 1971 and served in various positions, retiring as technical manager in 1999.

He and Linda had made their home near Finger since 1973.

He was a member of the Estes Church of Christ since 1973, where he had served as a deacon. He was a part of a mission trip to Russia.

After his retirement he operated a “mini tractor” sales and services. He enjoyed staying busy doing odd jobs around the house, the children’s homes and at the animal clinic.

Mr. Jacobs is survived by his wife, Linda Faye Barnes Jacobs of Finger; two sons, Jody Lee Jacobs (Heather) of Henderson and James Edward Jacobs of Nashville; three grandchildren, Makenna C. Jacobs, Morgan C. Jacobs and Andrew R. Jacobs; two sisters, Connie Cornelius of Springfield, TN and Bonnie Veach of Middleton, TN;

He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Virginia Miller and Dorothy McCollum and three half sisters, Mary Pickard, Marie Greene and Grace Robinson.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Wednesday, February 23rd at Estes Church of Christ with Billy Smith, Danny Eubanks and Roy Sharp officiating. Burial will follow in Old Estes Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Estes Church of Christ 11:00 AM until 2:00 PM service time.
