HENRY PICKENS FIELDSwas born in Hardin County, Tennessee on August 27, 1912 the son of the late Charlie and Birdie Phillips FieldsMr. Fields was united in marriage to Grapel Blanton, who preceded her husband in death on July 26, 2006.Mr. Fields was a retired grounds man for TVA. He was a United States Army Veteran of World War II. Mr. Fields was a member of Providence Baptist Church in Bartlett, Tennessee and was a member of IBEW in Paducah, Kentucky. Mr. Fields lived in Shelby County for 4 years and also lived in Mayfield, Kentucky for 50 years. He enjoyed gardening.Mr. Fields departed this life on June 17, 2010 at his residence in Lakeland, Tennessee at the age of 97 years, 9 months and 21 days.He is survived by one grandchild, Cherry Davidson and her husband Kenny of Lakeland, TennesseeIn addition to his parents and wife, he was also preceded in death by 2 sisters, Martha and Stella and one brother, George.Services will be held on June 20, 2010 at 3:30 PM at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah, Tennessee, with George Kyle officiating. Burial will follow in the West Shiloh Cemetery at Shiloh, Tennessee
