Henderson Richard Thompson
was born on January 12, 1929 in Savannah, Tennessee the son of the late Ike and Erma Thompson.
Mr. Thompson was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served during the Korean Conflict. He lived in Savannah, Tennessee and had also lived in Kissimee and Orlando, Florida.
He departed this life on February 28, 2006 at Hardin Medical Center in Savannah at the age of 77 years, 1 month and 16 days.
Mr. Thompson is survived by his children, Shirley Thompson, Donnie Thompson, James Thompson and Genice Williams all of Savannah, Tennessee;
6 grandchildren: Brandy Shannon, Chris Thompson, Stephanie Thompson, William Thompson, Cindy Davis and Sylvia Davis;
4 great-grandchildren: Geneva Shannon, Kobe Davis, Zaveon Davis and Antonio Davis;
and one sister, Annie L. Higgins of Hayti, Missouri.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 2 grandchildren: Daniel L. Nichols and Kizzy Davis; 3 brothers: Anderson, Billy Grady and Nathaniel Thompson and one sister, Mable Thompson
