She was born and reared in Madison County, the Friendship Community, the daughter of the late John Terrell and Mary Ailiene Jones Wooley. She went to school at Pinson and liked to play basketball in school and graduated in 1947. She helped on the farm, chopping cotton and driving the tractor. She was married to Thomas Rouse in December 23, 1950 and they made home in Friendship Community. They moved to Pinson after Mr. Rouse was released from the Air Force. She loved to crochet, quilt and gardening. She was a member of the Pinson United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Thomas Rouse, Sr. of Pinson; a son, Tommy Rouse and wife GayLynne of Hendersonville and a daughter, Vickie Scarbrough and husband Mike of Pinson; four grandchildren; Savannah Rouse, Cody Scarbrough, Jordan Rouse and Blake Scarbrough and a sister Grace Hunt of Pinson.
She was preceded in death by a daughter Thomesa Lynn Rouse in 1957.
