Helen Ruth Raley

She was born and reared in Chester County, the daughter of Mary Ruth Kitchen Melton and the late L. C. Melton. After her father was killed in the tornado in 1952, she and her mother made their home with her grandparents; Jess and Mazie Kitchen. Helen had lived in the same house all of her life. She attended Chester County Schools and was married to Harold Ray Raley in 1980. She worked a few years at Chester Manufacturing Company and later was a truck driver for ACE Trucking and later Navaho Trucking until she became ill with cancer in February 2007.



She is survived by her mother Mary Ruth Kitchen Melton of Henderson and several uncles, aunts and cousins.
