Helen Bernice Dixon

Helen Bernice Devers Dixon of Waynesboro, TN was born September 27, 1938 in Wayne Co., Tennessee, the daughter of the late Ralph and Hettie Pulley Devers. Ms Dixon was a retired factory worker and was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Waynesboro, Tennessee.



Ms Dixon departed this life on Wednesday, June 2, 2010 at her home in Waynesboro, Tennessee at the age of 71 Years, 8 Months, 6 Days.



She is survived by a son, Tommy Dixon of Collinwood, TN; five daughters, Tena Holt, Margaret Brown, Brenda Vaughn and Barbara McClain all of Waynesboro, TN, Teresa Purcell of Leoma, TN; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; four brothers, James Pulley of Collinwood, TN, Ralph Devers Jr. of CA, Norman Devers of FL, Paul Devers of Waynesboro, TN; a sister, Wanda Nolan of Waynesboro, TN; nieces and nephews; father of her children, Clovis Dixon of Collinwood, TN.



Services will be held on Friday, June 4, 2010 at 1:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Home Chapel in Waynesboro, Tennessee, with Jerry L. Robbins officiating. Burial will follow in the Griggs Cemetery at Waynesboro, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors of Wayne County directing. Pallbearers will be Daryl Brown, Anthony Vaughn, Steve Purcell, Dakota Brown, Stephen Purcell, Ronnie Skelton. Visitation will be Thursday, June 3, 2010 from 5:30 pm to 9 pm and Friday, June 4, 2010 from 8 am until service time at the funeral home.
