Hazel Sutton Smith
was born on December 4, 1933 in Wayne County, Tennessee the daughter of Flora Sherrills Reaves and the late Dewey Reaves.
Ms. Smith was a retired waitress and a member of Old Town Full Gospel Church. During her life, she had lived in Henderson, Tennessee and Savannah, Tennessee.
She departed this life on August 4, 2006 at Hardin Medical Center in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 72 years and 8 months.
Ms. Smith is survived by 2 sons: Dwight Pollock of Waverly, Tennessee and
Kenny Sutton of Destin, Florida; 2 daughters: Linda Pendergrass of Jupitor, Florida and Johnna Beuerlein of Jackson, Tennessee; 6 grandchildren: John Akiki, Harrison Hayes, Katie Hayes, Jasmine Pollock, Hailey Pollock and Natashua Pollock; 5 great-grandchildren; her mother, Flora Reaves of Savannah, Tennessee;
6 brothers: James Reaves of Collinwood, Tennessee,
Luther Reaves of Florence, Alabama, Arlie Reaves of Savannah, Tennessee,
Jim Reaves of Bethel Springs, Tennessee, Cliff Reaves of Selmer, Tennessee,
and Clifton Reaves of Selmer, Tennessee;
and 4 sisters: Lurie Gibson of Corinth, Mississippi,
Sue Willard of Henderson, Tennessee, Maudie Harris of Cape Canaveral, Florida, and Jean Cates of Selmer, Tennessee.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by two sons, Steven Pollock and Bobby Joe Pollock.
