HAZEL RYAN
Reagan, TN: Hazel Climer Ryan age 89 passed away September 13, 2016 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.
She was born February 19, 1927 in Chester County, the daughter of the late Deck and Gertha Barker Climer. She attended schools in Chester County and was married to Ernest Jones in 1944. Mr. Jones died in 1978. She moved to Chicago, IL in 1947, where she worked in the Manufacturing industry and returned to Chester County in 1986. She was a member of the Barren Springs Baptist Church in Reagan. She later married Jim Ryan who died 1994. She enjoyed quilting and gardening.
Mrs. Ryan is survived by a daughter, Janice Garbacz and husband Ed of Reagan; three sons, Carthell Jones of Reagan, Danny Ryan and Keith Ryan both of Chicago, IL; four sisters, Mamie Dell Essary, Elizabeth Mooney, Martha Climer and Dean Hart all of Reagan, TN and two brothers, Daniel Climer of Jefferson, NC and Joe Climer of Reagan; eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Jackie Jones and three brothers, Paul Climer, Ernest Climer and Clifford Climer.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Saturday, September 17, 2016 at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Johnson Chapel with Randy Hart officiating. Burial will follow in Johnson Crossroads Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Johnson Chapel 5 PM until 9 PM on Friday.
