HAZEL HURST GROVES
Was born in Alexander, Tennessee on January 6, 1925 the daughter of the late Connie Mack and Flora Pittman.
On May 30, 1953 she was united in marriage to Wade B. Hurst, who preceded his wife in death on October 23, 1989. On February 23, 1996 she was united in marriage to Robert Lewis Groves, who survives.
Mrs. Groves was a retired hostess for Christopher’s Restaurant. She loved square dancing.
Mrs. Groves departed this life on September 8, 2006 at the Jackson Madison County General Hospital in Jackson, Tennessee at the age of 81 years, 8 months and 2 days.
Other than her husband Robert Lewis Groves of Savannah, Tennessee, she is survived by one son, Wade P. Hurst and his wife Gayle of Ft. Walton Beach, Florida.
One daughter, Alethea Baugus of Savannah, Tennessee.
6 grandchildren, Matt McDonald, Bryson Rich, Kendrick Moss, Ramsey Hurst, Lindsay Labbe and Shandi Baugus
3 great-grandchildren, Mariah, Kamryn and Connor Labbe
2 sisters, Millie Buchannan of Springfield, Tennessee and Ruth Darby of Chapel Hill, Tennessee.
One brother, Euel Pittman of Springfield, Tennessee.
Mrs. Groves was also preceded in death by one son, Charles Kenneth Smith, one sister, Mary Holland and one brother, Burt Pittman.
