Hazel White Burrough, 77, of Whiteville, died Tuesday, October 24, 2006 at St. Francis Hospital in Memphis.
The widow of Edward Burrough, who died in 1972, she retired as a nurse practitioner at Western State Mental Institute. Ms. Burrough was born February 4, 1929, in Tipton County, daughter of the late John and Clara Atkins White. She was a member of Whiteville Church of Christ.
Services were 11:00 am Friday, October 27, 2006 at Shackelford Funeral Directors Bolivar chapel with Dan Dawson and Bill Doyle officiating. Burial was in R. H. Munford Cemetery near Covington.
Survivors include one son, Edward Burrough of Lorida, Florida; aunt, Sue Hudgens of Nashville; nephew, Dr. John R. White, Jr. of Yacoma, Washington; loyal friends, Katharine Gregory and Wayne & Shirley Gregory, all of Whiteville and her friends at Whiteville Church of Christ. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by one sister, Helen White Snyder and two brothers, Donald G. & John R. White.
