Dwight Tyler was born on July 14, 1942 in Arkansas, the son of the late Harold Yates and Helen Stanfill Tyler.
On October 5, 2001, he was united in marriage to Martha Case Meek, who survives.
Dwight retired from Aqua Glass where he worked in inventory and previously worked for Owen's Corning in Jackson, Tennessee for 18 years. He enjoyed spending time outdoors hunting arrowheads, gardening, and hunting. He also liked quilting and woodworking and he was a great cook. Dwight was a member of Adamsville Church of Christ and the Masonic Lodge.
Dwight Tyler departed this life on October 20, 2024 in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 82 years, 3 months, and 6 days.
He is survived by his wife, Martha Tyler of Adamsville, Tennessee; sons, Craig Tyler and his wife Tina and Todd Tyler and his wife Stacey, all of Savannah, Tennessee; grandchildren, Logan Tyler (Sonya) and Lauren Umphrey and her husband Zach; great grandchildren, Marleigh Umphrey, Maddie Umphrey, Landon Umphrey, and MaKenna Umphrey; sister, Charlotte Tidwell and her husband John Charles; several nieces and nephews; stepson, Casey Meek of Jackson, Tennessee; stepdaughter, Nikke Shilling and her husband Jim of Bradenton, Florida; and step grandchildren, Abbey Rose and her husband Cody, Ansley Shilling, Jay Shilling, and Allen Meek.
In addition to his parents, Dwight was preceded in death by his first wife, Nelda Jane Blackwelder Tyler and sisters, Shirley Wilkins and Barbara Phillips.
