Harold O'Neal

Harold O'Neal was born in Selmer, Tennessee on May 19, 1920 the son of the late Clyde and Maggie Newsom O'Neal.He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served during World War II. Mr. O'Neal had worked as a self-employed truck driver. On August 11, 1991 he was united in marriage to Mae Wood O'Neal, who survives. Mr. O'Neal was a member of Pyburn Union Church and the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He departed this life on May 25, 2007 in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 87 years, 6 days.Mr. O'Neal is survived by his wife, Mae Wood O'Neal of Savannah, Tennessee;a son, Mike O'Neal of Shreveport, Louisiana; a daughter, Cheryl O'Neal of Memphis, Tennessee; a step-son, Dennis Wood and his wife, Linda, of Savannah, Tennessee;two grandchildren: Jason and Justin Wood;one brother: Don Ellis of Henderson, Tennesseeand one sister, Cornelia Sparks of Lake Cormorant, Mississippi.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son,Harold O'Neal, Jr.
