Harold A. Jones

HAROLD A. JONESwas born in Gilbertsville, Kentucky on August 23, 1945 the son of the late Garvin Anderson and Jessie Wicker Jones.On December 9, 1975 he was united in marriage to the former Gayle Englebretson, who survives.Mr. Jones was a truck driver for Reeves Brothers. He was a United States Army Veteran of Vietnam, where he received a Distinguished Flying Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Army Aviator Badge, Good Conduct Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Air Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal W/60 Device, Bronze Star Medal and the Vietnam Cross of Gallantry W/Palm. Mr. Jones was a member of the American Legion. He flew Petroleum Helicopters for an offshore oil company and also was a pilot for Shackelford Funeral Directors.Mr. Jones departed this life on September 16, 2007 at the Hardin Medical Center in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 62 years and 24 days.Other than his wife Gayle of Adamsville, Tennessee, he is survived by 2 daughters, Salina Furlong of Richmond Hill, Georgia and Amy Payne of Yorktown, Virginia.5 grandchildren
