Mr. Brock passed away Wednesday night at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.
The husband of Dorothy Brock, who survives, he retired in 1993 as a mailman for Western Mental Health Institute, and also was a farmer and previously worked for Jervis. Mr. Brock was born to the late John W. Brock and Lois Pamela Jacobs Brock and lived most of his life in Hardeman County and for a while in Texas. He was a member of West Memorial Baptist Church, a 1945 graduate of Grand Junction High School, and a veteran of the US Air Force.
In addition to his wife, whom he married May 1, 1951, he is survived by a daughter and her husband, Pam McLemore and Keith of Bolivar; a son and his wife, Bill Brock and Patricia of Lewisburg; a brother and his wife, Leon Brock and Lee of Hickory Valley; two grandchildren, Andrew Tigner and his wife, Candy, Aaron Tigner and his fiancé, Amanda; three great grandchildren, Kayla Hope Tigner, Lily Faithe Tigner, Madison Paige Tigner; a half-sister, Louise Merrick of Henderson, NV; and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Reba Brock, Sue Moore, Mildred Jenkins; a brother, John Marvin Brock; and a step-brother, Donnie Maddox.
