Harold L. Baker departed this life on Monday, September 12, 2022, at the age of 82 years and 12 days. He was born in Dyer County, Tennessee, on August 31, 1940, the son of the late Lloyd Moody and Lena Claudine Lewis Baker. On September 27, 1981, he was united in marriage to Sue Smith, who survives.
Harold served his country honorably in the United States Air Force for four years. He had worked for the Hardin County Board of Education as a Vocation Assistant, Natural Gas Company for 20 years, and Coulson Photography Studio in Cowan, Tennessee. Harold enjoyed singing in the Volunteer State Quartet and lead singing in many churches. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Counce, Tennessee.
Harold is survived by his wife of almost 41 years, Sue Baker of Counce, Tennessee; daughter, Beth Baker Ramsey of Murfreesboro, Tennessee; grandchildren, Allie Alexander and her husband Caleb, and Elise Ramsey; great grandchild, Jack Alexander; brother, Gary Baker and his wife of Kim of Murfreesboro, Tennessee; and sister-in-law, Shirley Baker of Murfreesboro, Tennessee.
In addition to his parents, Harold was preceded in death by his brother, Jimmy Baker.
