Gwen Campbell, 67 of Saulsbury, passed away Sunday evening, January 6, 2019 at Jackson General Hospital.
A native of Hardeman County, she was born October 6, 1951, the daughter of Marie Cooper of Saulsbury and the late Robert Marcus Campbell and lived in Memphis for about 25 years. She worked at Thyssen Krupp (Dover) for 10 years and also was a printer operator at the William B. Tanner Corporation for several years. She enjoyed reading, sewing and going to the field trials. Her family states that she loved flowers and being outside, but most of all, loved her family dearly. Gwen was a member of Saulsbury Baptist Church.
In addition to her mother, survivors include a son, Marc Mayes (Sheila) of Saulsbury; a sister, Rita Gail Watkins of Pocahontas; a grandson, Robert Marcus Mayes, Jr. and a granddaughter, Shelby Renee Mayes. She was preceded in death by her father, a brother, Kenneth Allen Campbell and her late husband, Tim Urbanowitz.
