Guy Vernon Baker

Mr. Baker died Sunday afternoon at Methodist North Hospital in Memphis.
A native and long-time resident of Memphis, he was the son of the late Guy Vernon Baker, Sr. and Rebecca Ann Henderson Baker. He was a graduate of Woodale High School and a Full Mason. Mr. Baker worked in the entertainment industry throughout the Mid-South, having played lead guitar for Jerry Lee Lewis for 6 years.
He leaves two daughters, Kara J. Baker of Memphis and Danielle Baker of Oliver Branch, MS; a son, Guy Vernon "Kirk" Baker, III, of Memphis; two brothers, Danny Ray Baker of Orlando, Fl and Keith Baker of Memphis; and one grandson, Guy Vernon Baker, IV.
