Gustava Ritter

She was born and reared in Lawrence County, TN, the daughter of the late Manuel and Lillian Hall Johnson. She attended school in Lawrence County. She was married to James Silas'Tex' Ritter in 1947. They made their home at Morris Chapel, where they farmed. She had also worked at Garan Mfg. and Hardwood factories. Mr. Ritter died in 1995 and she continued to make her home at Morris Chapel. She was a member of the Morris Chapel Baptist Church.She is survived by two daughters, Patricia Ann Young of Morris Chapel and Mary Ruth Bartells of Athens, TN; twelve grandchildren, twenty five great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren; two sisters, Geneva Swanner of Mt. Pleasant, TN and Ruth Craig of Mt. Pleasant, TN.She was preceded in death by her husband, James Silas 'Tex' Ritter in 1995 and a daughter, Janis Faye Keen in 1991.
