Greg Taylor

James Gregory Taylor of Selmer, TN was born October 10, 1963 in Memphis, TN, the son of the late James Varnell and Joan Marie Johnson Taylor. He departed this life on May 16, 2019 in Selmer, Tennessee at the age of 55 Years, 7 Months, 6 Days.

Greg found fulfillment in the challenges of his job as an electrician and took great pride in that work. Away from the job he was an avid outdoorsman, spending most of his free time hunting and fishing with friends. Greg’s easygoing manner and quick wit were admired by his friends and family, and he will always be remember for his sense of humor and the warmth of his smile. He was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church.

Mr. Taylor is survived by a sister, Marilyn Plunk and husband Mike of Bethel Springs, TN; nieces and nephews: Clint Pierce and wife Heather and their children Taylor and Annabell, Layne Norris and husband Johnny and their child Camilla.

A memorial service will be held at 4 pm on Saturday, June 1, 2019 at Fellowship Baptist Church with J.D. Matlock officiating.
