Granville W. Smith

Mr. Granville W. Smith, age 88 of Grand Junction, passed from this life Wednesday, April 15, 2009 at Methodist Healthcare of Fayette County in Somerville.He was born June 22, 1920 in Nixon, TN to the late Clyde and Ella Mae Davis Smith. He married Hazel Buchanan, who survives, June 25, 1955 and worked for Southern Railroad for 21 years. He was also a barber in Grand Junction for many years. He was a member of the Grand Junction First Baptist Church, was a Mason for several years and served in the Tennessee National Guard.In addition to his wife, survivors include Scotty Smith and his wife Olivia of Apple Valley, CA; a daughter, Wanda Allen of Middleton; and three grandchildren, Jeffrey, Slater and Scarlett. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by eight brothers and sisters.
