Granville Allison Linam

Mr. Granville Allison Linam was born May 4, 1918 in Savannah, Tennessee the son of the late William Allison and Mildred Patterson Willoughby Linam. He was united in marriage to Mary Smith on August 9, 1945. Mr. Linam was a retired mechanic, farmer, and sales representative in the auto parts industry. He was a member of the Believer's Victory Fellowship Church and the American Legion, having served in the U. S. Army during World War II. Mr. Linam departed this life on October 31, 2005 in Jackson, Tennessee at the age of 87 Years, 5 Months, 27 Days. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Mary Smith Linam of Selmer, Tennessee; a daughter, Sherlite Ann Smith and husband Charles of Galena, Ohio; two sons: James Linam and wife Jane of Alabaster, Alabama and Bill Linam and wife Karen of Selmer, Tennessee; three sisters: Louella Cook of Florence, Alabama, Margaret Burcham of Russellville, Alabama and Laila Mabry of Houston, Texas; 10 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Mr. Linam was also preceded in death by a grandchild, a brother and two sisters.The family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Believer's Victory Fellowship Church building fund, P. O. Box 157-Selmer, TN 38375.
