Grady Stewart

Mr. Grady Stewart, Jr., age 83 of Middleton, passed from this life Thursday evening, March 26, 2009 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.He was born March 30, 1925 in Middleton to the late Grady Stewart, Sr. and Martha Whaley Stewart. He graduated with the class of 1942 from Middleton High School and served in the United States Marine Corp as a Corporal during World War II in the Pacific theater. He worked for 40 years at TGT and was a long time member of the American Legion. He leaves as survivors three daughters, Sandra Hutchins of Nashville, Susan Herndon of Plano, TX and Rebecca Sheumaker of Lakeland, FL; a son, Thomas Stewart of Starkville, MS; three sisters, Edna Stephens of Memphis, Billie Ann Fisher of Memphis and Martha Jo Hayes of Tarrant, AL; a brother, Robert Stewart of Millington; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Julian Whaley Stewart.
