Grady Eugene Sanders, 94, of Bolivar died Monday, November 28 at Baptist Memorial Hospital East.



The widower of Elsie Marie Sanders, who died October 1, 1983 after 50 years of marriage, he was a lift driver at Harman Automotive for 14 years and a farmer. Mr. Sanders was born November 15, 1911 in Brownsville, Miss., son of the late Jesse and Tempie Priscilla Fish Sanders and lived in Hardeman County and Tipton County most of his life. He was a member of Hornsby Baptist Church.



Services were 11 am Wednesday, November 30, 2005 at Hornsby Baptist Church with Orville McMahan officiating. Burial was in Tipton County Memorial Gardens near Covington. Shackelford Funeral Directors of Bolivar were in charge of arrangements.



He is survived by three daughters, Carolyn Crouse of Covington, Vicie McMahan of Bethel Springs and Nancy Foster of Hornsby; four sons, Franklin Sanders of Henning, Edward Sanders of Ripley, Douglas Sanders of Covington and Willis Sanders of Hornsby; 30 grandchildren; 68 great grandchildren and 15 great, great grandchildren. In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Elsie Jean Adams; 3 grandchildren, Franklin Sanders, Jr., Joyce Renee Foster and Delia Adams; 2 great grandchildren, Zachary Thompson and Jeremy Lowrance and 15 brothers and sisters.
