Grace Pyron Smith
was born in Hardin County, Tennessee on January 22, 1915 the daughter of the late Estell and Katie Cresap Pyron.
On May 18, 1957 she was united in marriage to Eugene Smith, who preceded her in death on November 22, 2002.
Ms. Smith graduated from Shiloh High School. In 1956 she graduated from Memphis State University with a B.S. and taught in the Hardin County School system for 41 years. Ms. Smith was a member of the Savannah Eastern Star #371, Hardin County Retired Teachers Association, and Pickwick United Methodist Church were she was also the church secretary.
Ms. Smith departed this life on Friday, September 5, 2008 at the age of 93 years, 7 months, 14 days.
Ms. Smith is survived by a niece: Heather Pyron of Nashville, Tennessee; 2 nephews: Danny Ray Pyron and Kenny Pyron both of Memphis, Tennessee.
In addition to her husband and parents, Ms. Smith was preceded in death by 2 brothers: Talmage Pyron and Travis Pyron.
