Grace Wooley Hunt

Grace Hunt, age 96 joined her husband Joe in Heaven on June 10, 2021. Grace was born in Pinson, TN on Feb. 27, 1925. She was the daughter of Mary Alliene Jones Wooley and John Terrell Wooley. She attended Pinson School and was at the top of her class. After graduation she moved to Dyer TN to work at the Brown Shoe Company where she met her husband Joe and they married on June 15, 1944 in Corinth, MS. When he returned from the war, they moved to Pinson and she started work at the Pinson Post Office & worked there 32 years. After retirement they traveled all over the United States, their favorite place was Daytona Beach, Fla. They attended Pinson United Methodist church together for many years.

The family wishes to thank Northbrooke Healthcare for their wonderful care for the six and a half years she lived there.

Grace is survived by her daughter, Gale Fulton and husband Dell ,son-in-law Don Mitchell and wife Nancy, grandsons, Donnie Mitchell and Greg Mitchell and wife Kristin, great grandchild Hailey Cunningham and husband Rob, and 5 great-great grandchildren and a very special nephew, Eugene Wooley and wife June and faithful dog, Kirby D., who visited every week.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Linda Hunt Mitchell in 2003, and her husband Joe Hunt in 2014, and her parents and nine brothers and sisters.

There will be a graveside service at 2:00 at Big Springs Cemetery, 768 Ozier Rd. Pinson, TN 38366. The family will be there at 1:30 on Sunday June 13, 2021. Bro. Jimmy Dyer will officiate.
