Grace Horton

Services for Grace Stricklin Horton, age 90, of Florence, AL will be Saturday, May 12, 2007 at 1 pm at Shackelford Funeral Home Chapel in Collinwood, TN with William Beal officiating. Burial will be in Cromwell Crossroads Cemetery near Collinwood with Shackelford Funeral Directors of Wayne County in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will be Friday, May 11, 2007 from 6 pm to 9 pm and Saturday, May 12, 2007 from 10 am until service time at the funeral home. She died at Glenwood Convalescent Center in Florence on Thursday, May 10, 2007.



Mrs. Horton, a native of Wayne County, TN, was a homemaker and a member of Lutts Methodist Church. She was a daughter of the late Martin and Roxie Melson Stricklin and the wife of the late Claude Carl Horton.



Survivors, son, Johnny Carl Horton, daughter, Claudie Marie Horton Alsbrooks, both of Florence; granddaughter, Teresa Alsbrooks Robbins; great-grandchildren, Cody and Missy Robbins; brother, Matthew (Sonny) Stricklin, Iron City, TN; sisters, Nettie Faulkner, Mishawaka, IN, Frankie Abrams, Lutts, TN, Waymon Morris, Waynesboro, TN, Ann Bonnar and Bitsy Weatherford both of Savannah, TN; several nieces and nephews.
