Gordon Dean Ervin

Gordon Ervin, 69, of Bolivar, died Tuesday, October 10, 2006 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.
He was a sawmill worker, security guard and cook for various restaurants. Mr. Ervin was born December 14, 1936, son of the late Theo S. Ervin and Bessie E. Chandler Ervin and lived here all of his life. He served in the U. S. Army and was a member of Shandy Baptist Church.
Graveside services were 2 pm Thursday, October 12, 2006 at Shandy Baptist Cemetery near Bolivar with Charles Jeter officiating.
Survivors include one brother, Norman G. Ervin of Bolivar. And several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a half-brother, James A. “Buck†Ervin and half-sister, Katherine Huffman.
