Golden Ervin, 73, of Bolivar, died Thursday, August 25, 2005 at Methodist Hospital North in Memphis.
The widower of Elaine Ervin, who died in January 2004, he was a farmer. Mr. Ervin was born in Hardeman County, son of the late Everett “Tab†and Birdie Hodge Ervin and lived here all of his life. He served in the U.S. Army in Germany during WWII and was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church in Toone.
Services were 2 PM Saturday, August 27, 2005 at Shackelford Funeral Directors Bolivar chapel with Bertie Moore officiating. Burial was in Ebenezer Cemetery in Toone.
Survivors include one daughter, Linda Turner of Mason; two sons, Randy and Keith Ervin, both of Arlington; two brothers, Travis Ervin of Lakeland and Donald Ervin of Seattle, Wash.; nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren. In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by a brother, Gordon Ervin.
