Glenn E. Maness

Funeral Services for Glenn E. Maness, 78, will be on Friday, December 21, 2007, 1:00 PM, at Mt. Gilead Baptist Church, where he was a member, with Bro. David Green officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Gilead Cemetery. Mr. Maness was a retired merchant and farmer. He was a United States Air Force Korean War veteran, a Mason, and served 28 years as an elected McNairy County Commissioner. Mr. Maness died on Wednesday, December 19, 2007, in Nashville. Survivors are two daughters, Glenda Shelton and husband Gary of Bethel Springs, and Debbie Mulder of Adamsville. A grandson, Dr. Ryan Shelton of Charlotte, North Carolina, two brothers, Leon Maness of Selmer, and Joe Dan Maness of Adamsville. Also survived by a special friend, Annie Grace Jamerson of Bolivar. Mr. Maness was preceded in death by his first wife Joyce and his second wife Shirley. Also preceded in death by three brothers, Quinn, Raymond, and James W. Maness. Mr. Maness was the son of the late Leonard and Ocal Whitten Maness.
