Glen Smith

Glen Smith was born April 17, 1936 in Clifton, TN the son of the late Alf and Rixie Gordon Smith. Mr. Smith died Friday, June 7, 2013 at Wayne Medical Center in Waynesboro at the age of 77 Years, 1 Month, 21 Days. In addition to his parents, Mr. Smith was preceded in death by brother, Bobby Gene Smith; sister, Mae Smith; and stepdaughter, Brenda Staggs Andrews.



He was a welder at Wayne Metal Fabrication in Waynesboro and was of the Pentecostal faith.



He is survived by two sons, Lytle C. Smith and Steve Igoe Smith both of Clifton, TN; 5 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren; Companion, Frances Staggs of Waynesboro; stepsons, Wayne Staggs, Brian Staggs, and Kenneth Staggs all of Waynesboro, TN; 7 step-grandchildren and 7 step-great-grandchildren; six brothers, Walter B. Smith, Jack Smith, and Billy Smith all of Clifton, TN, Carl Smith of Salem, IL, Claude Smith of Romeoville, IL, and Fay Smith of Braidwood, IL; a sister, Edith Smith Franks of Manchester, TN; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.



Services will be held Monday, June 10, 2013 at 3:00 PM at Clifton Revival Center with Howard Carroll and John C. Tidwell officiating. Burial will follow in Prater's Chapel Cemetery with Shackelford Funeral Directors in charge of arrangements.



Pallbearers are Walter Smith, Elijah Smith, Coty Smith, Mark Smith,

Gary Cook, and Dwayne Franks; hononary pallbearers are Austin Staggs,

Eston Smith, Earl Cook, and Carlton Smith
