Glen Cox, 72, of Middleton, died Monday evening, May 2, 2005 at Bolivar General Hospital.
The husband of Barbara Faye Barnes Cox, who survives, he was a shop supervisor at Roadway Express Trucking. Mr. Cox was born July 26, 1932 in Hardeman County, son of the late Carl Bedford Cox and Alma Louaggie McAlpin Cox. He lived for over 20 years in Memphis and in Pickwick for 9 years before returning here to make his home in 1998. Mr. Cox served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict and was a member of Reaves United Methodist Church in Middleton.
Services were 11 am Wednesday, May 4, 2005 at the Shackelford Funeral Directors chapel in Middleton with Robert Cole officiating. Burial was in Reaves Cemetery.
In addition to his wife, whom he married December 18, 1955, survivors include one daughter, Aloma Nowell of Eads; one son, Alvin Cox of Middleton; two sisters, Arbie Lou Carter and Delores Ann Baker, both of Middleton; five grandchildren and three step-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Martha Evoka Freeman and Janette Cox.
