Gladys (Mamaw) Webb was born on October 21, 1926 in Tishomingo, Mississippi, the daughter of the late Miles Ervin and Ella Ross Boggs Meeks.
On June 6, 1942 she was united in marriage to James Henry Webb, who preceded his wife in death on May 28, 2009.
Mrs. Webb was a homemaker and a member of the Pisgah United Methodist Church. Mamaw, as she was known by many, was a great cook and a very loving mother and grandmother. During her spare time, she enjoyed quilting, fishing, working puzzles, and gardening.
Gladys Webb departed this life on October 11, 2016 at the age of 89 years, 11 months, 20 days.
She is survived by 3 children, Willard Webb and his wife Becky, Lora McLain and her husband Gerald, and James Webb and his wife Phyllis, all of Counce, Tennessee; 1 sister, Lois Love of Counce, Tennessee; 6 grandchildren, Shannon Horner of Mandville, Louisana, Sean King of Counce, Tennessee, Brandy Young of Savannah, Tennessee, Rusty Webb of Portland, Tennessee, Shelley Mask of Corinth, Mississppi, and Derek Smith of Corinth, Mississippi; 11 great grandchildren; and 1 great great grandchild.
In addition to her husband, Henry Webb, and her parents, Millie and Ella Meeks, she was preceded in death by her son, Vernon Webb; 4 sisters, Mary Freeman, Jean Rose, Loretta Wardlow, and Linda Lovendahl; 5 brothers, H.S. Meeks, James Meeks, Hub Meeks, Deward Meeks, and Bobby Meeks; and 3 grandchildren, Todd Webb, Dusty Webb, and Kevin Webb.
