Raymelle Hart
Enville: Gladys Raymelle Hart, age 89 passed away Thursday evening, July 12, 2018 at Decatur County General Hospital.
Ms. Hart was born at Enville, the daughter of the late Odie Lee ‘Frog’ Hart and Dossie Mae Wheatley Hart. She graduated from Chester County High school in 1948 and graduated from Freed-Hardeman College in 1956, where she received her teacher’s certificate. She began teaching at Roby and spent most of her teaching career at Jack’s Creek. She retired after 46 years of teaching . Church was a major part of her life. She was a member of the Enville Pentecostal Church where she enjoyed teaching Sunday school for many years.
She is survived by two nephews; Stacy Lynn Wade of Decaturville and Derek Hughes of Jackson, four great nieces; Brandi Hunt, April Acred, Kassie Mansfield, and Kayla Wade and two great nephews; Mitchell Wade and Noah Wade.
She was predeceased by two sisters; Bobbie Carver and Mozelle Hughes.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Sunday at Shackelford – Crook Avenue with Sammy Bowman and Wayne Pugh officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery at Enville.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM Saturday and Sunday from 11:00 AM until funeral time.
