GERTRUDE CARLA SPURLOCK CONNOR
Was born in Hazey, West Virginia on December 22, 1927 the daughter of the late Seth and Pearl Alexander Spurlock.
On October 15, 1947 she was united in marriage to Charles Donald “Doc†Connor, who survives.
Mrs. Connor retired after 15 years from Providence Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio.
She departed this life on October 16, 2006 at the Park Rest Nursing Home in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 78 years, 9 months and 24 days.
Other than her husband, Charles “Doc†Connor of Adamsville, Tennessee, she is survived by one son, Michael Raymond Connor of Jacksonville, Florida.
2 daughters, Debbie Ann Mains of Cincinnati, Ohio and Patricia Lynn Gagyi of Adamsville, Tennessee.
6 grandchildren, Chris Gagyi and his wife Wendy, Derek Gagyi and his wife Kacy, Andrew Gagyi, Carrie Pitts and her husband Michael, Tracie Sierocki and her husband Michael and Brian Mains.
6 great-grandchildren, Hannah Gagyi, Sarah Gagyi, Hayley Gagyi, Connor Pitts, Anthony Sierocki and Samantha Sierocki.
3 sisters, Mildred Compton, Betty Lou Sampson and Joan Spears, all of Cincinnati, Ohio
2 brothers, Tom and Jim Spurlock, both of Cincinnati, Ohio
Other than her parents, Mrs. Connor was also preceded in death by 2 brothers, Herschel and Seth Spurlock and 3 sisters, Sparky Apple, Joyce Swaggerty and Janie Spears.
