Gerald Keith Moore

Memorial Services for Gerald Keith Moore, will be held on Monday, July 7, 2008 at 11:00 AM at Shackelford Funeral Directors at Waynesboro in Waynesboro, Tennessee, with Michael Mathers officiating. Cremation will follow services with Shackelford Funeral Directors of Wayne County in charge of the arrangments.



Mr. Moore departed this life on July 4, 2008 at his home near Waynesboro, at the age of 73 Years, 11 Months, 8 Days. He was born July 26, 1934 in Washington, DC, the son of the late Herbert Roy Moore and Rosemary Landiss Moore. In addition to his parents, Mr. Moore was preceded in death by wife; Betty Jo Bell Moore.



Mr. Moore was a geohydrologist employed by U.S. Geological Survey. He was a member of Wayne County Historical Society ; Wayne County Forestry Society, and served his country in the United States Marines.



He is survived by his wife Mrs. Martha (Abernathy) Moore of Waynesboro, TN;

daughters, Carolyn Joyce Moore, Nancy Lynn Moore both of Oak Ridge, TN, Mrs. Peggy Ann (Moore) Shoffner of Knoxville, Tn, sons, Kenneth Ray Moore of Sacramento, Ca, Roger William Moore, Robert Neal Moore, Mark Alan Moore all of Knoxville, TN,

step daughter; Carol Underwood of Killen, Al; step sons; William Abernathy, Jimmy Abernathy, and Paul Abernathy all of Florence, AL;

grandchildren; Jennifer Akemi Moore; Allison Michiko Moore; Michaela D. Shoffner and Samantha Bell Shoffner

8 step grandchildren and 5 step great grandchildren
