Gerald Maxedon was born July 24, 1922 in McNairy County, Tennessee the son of the late Alvah B. and Edith Hamm Maxedon.He was a United States Army World War II veteran, a farmer and heavy equipment operator, and a member of Mt. Vernon Cumberland Presbyterian Church. He was united in marriage to Eva Pearl Barnes on June 6, 1947.Mr. Maxedon departed this life on Friday, February 24, 2006 in Selmer, Tennessee at the age of 83 Years, 7 Months.Survivors are his wife of 58 plus years Eva Pearl Maxedon; four sons, Bill Maxedon of Bethel Springs, Tennessee, Gerald Van Maxedon, Jim Maxedon, and Jeff Maxedon, all of Selmer, Tennessee; a sister Ann Sweat and a brother Bob Maxedon, both of Selmer.8 Grandchildren and 6 Great-Grandchldren and a host of other family and friends.Other than his parents, also preceded in death by a daughter Nancy June Maxedon Mulligan, a sister Lila Koblentz, and four brothers, Bill, Virgil, Pitts, and Julian Maxedon.
