Gerald Kenneth "Ken" Daniel, 41, of Bolivar, died Wednesday evening, July 6, 2005 at the Regional Medical Center of Memphis as the result of an auto accident.
The son of Gerald "Jerry" Kenneth Daniel, Sr. and Peggye Jean Dodd LaCroix, who survive, he was a machinist at Vandiver's Sawmill as well as a carpenter. Mr. Daniel was born April 3, 1964 in Jackson, Tenn. and lived here most of his life. He served in the U.S. Army from 1981 to '83 and was a member of Toone Baptist Church.
Services were 2 PM Sunday, July 10, 2005 at Shackelford's Bolivar chapel with Fred Clifft officiating. Burial was in Walnut Grove Cemetery.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his son and daughter, Owen Cody Daniel and Courtney Lea Daniel, both of Searcy, Ark.; step-father, Joe LaCroix of Bolivar; stepmother, Nina Daniel of Dyersburg; brother, Jared LaCroix of Bolivar; two sisters, Angela "Charlie" Bryant of Memphis and Debra Millar of Charleston, SC and three step-sisters, Sharon Cossar of Bolivar, Tammy Thurmond of Friendship and Ninette Williams of Dyersburg. He was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Leo and Maggie Dodd, paternal grandparents, Owen and Louise Daniel; sister, Jacqueline Kay West and step-sister, Michelle Denise LaCroix.
