Georgene C Prather

Georgene C. Prather was born November 26, 1928 in Tyronza, AR, the daughter of the late O. E. Clark and Bell Jones Clark. 

Mrs. Prather was a 58 year member of the Lakeview Baptist Church in Selmer, Tennessee. She worked many years for Brown Shoe Company and babysat dozens of the neighborhood kids before eventually retiring from General Electric to spend time at home enjoying her personal hobbies. She loved visiting with friends, going out to eat, planting flowers, and especially working in her yard. Most of all, she loved being with her daughter and granddaughter.

Georgene departed this life on March 11, 2023 in Henderson, Tennessee at the age of 94 Years, 3 Months, 13 Days.

She is survived by a daughter, Pam Prather of Guys, TN; a granddaughter, Christian West of Hendersonville, TN; and a host of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Prather was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Parvin Prather; three sisters: Tommie Hines, Verbaline Lingle, Deberdean Clark; two brothers, Sherman and Raymond Clark.
