George Herman Ritter was born and raised in Hardin Co. the son of the late Herman and Vada Moore Ritter. He was married to Kaye Campbell in 1970 and they made their home in Enville, TN all their married life. He worked as a mechanic at various locations such as Pettigrew Ford in Adamsville, Bolton Ford in Henderson, B&B in Crump, CSMI in Crump and retired from APAC in Crump. He enjoyed hunting and talking with his neighbors. He was an avid race fan and enjoyed traveling. He loved to spend time and play with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Kaye Campbell Ritter of Enville; two daughters, Melinda Johnston (Shane) of Enville, Melissa Holder (Ricky) of Lavergne, TN; two brothers, Jim Ritter (Sue) and Ricky Ritter both of Morris Chapel, TN; a two grandchildren, Dylan Johnston and Emilie Holder; and a sister in law, Genny Martin.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Katye Gatley.
