GEORGE NORMAN FRANKS
was born in Hardin County, Tennessee on January 27, 1933 the son of the late Craig and Emma Johnson Franks.
On January 24, 1961 he was united in marriage to Gail Parker, who preceded her husband in death on September 9, 2007.
Mr. Franks retired from the Memphis Defense Depot and American Wallcovering Company. He was a United States Army Veteran of the Korean War. Mr. Franks was a member of Quail Ridge Church of Christ. Mr. Franks loved Memphis State Basketball.
He departed this life on December 23, 2011 in Bartlett, Tennessee at the age of 78 years, 10 months and 26 days.
Mr. Franks is survived by one sister, Virginia Lutrell and husband Floyd of Bartlett, Tennessee
one nephew, Donald Lutrell of Memphis, Tennessee, one niece Kay Yewell and husband Mike of Bartlett, Tennessee
2 great nieces, Amanda Hargrove of Arlington, Tennessee and Laura Hassler of Bartlett, Tennessee
4 great great nephews, Ethan, Joshua, Eli and Caleb
Mr. Franks is survived by his beloved caregiver Beatrice Lang of Memphis, Tennessee
