George Luther Bynum

October 11, 1948 — December 21, 2010

George Luther Bynum was born October 11, 1948 in Brownfield, MS to parents Wilma Bynum and the late William Earl Bynum. In his lifetime, he served both his country and community, through work for the National Guard and the Hardeman County Sheriff’s Department. George worked in many businesses in the Bolivar area including his most recent position as a truck driver for B&C Trucking before retiring due to declining health. Mr. Bynum was a member of Bolivar First Baptist Church and a member of Grand Junction High School Class of 1966. He died December 21, 2010 at Bolivar General Hospital.



George is survived by Linda Howell Bynum, his wife of 34 years; his sons Brad (Alison) Bynum of Smyrna, TN and Jason (Shai) Bynum of Centralia, WA; grandchildren, Norah, Hank & Charlotte; mother, Wilma Bynum; sister, Cora (Gene) Campbell; brothers, Billy (Sue) Bynum, Bobby (Grace) Bynum and Mike (Jamie) Bynum, all of Saulsbury; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by father, William Earl Bynum; and sister, Mary Louise Bynum.
