George Lee Buchanan

George Lee Buchanan was born September 23, 1934 in Widner, Arkansas the son of the late Shelton Giles and Eva Ione Wills Buchanan.On December 28, 1956, he was united in marriage to Sadie Ruth Kennamore.Mr. Buchanan was retired after proudly serving a total 43 years in the US Air Force and in the US Navy. He worked in Air Craft Maintenance and held the rank of Chief Master Sergeant. Mr. Buchanan also retired after 13 years of service from Agua Glass in Adamsville where he worked in the maintenance department. He was a member of the Bethel Springs Baptist Church and had served as a Deacon at South Miami Heights Baptist Church.Mr. Buchanan departed this life on September 20, 2006 in Bethel Springs, Tennessee at the age of 71 Years, 11 Months, 28 Days. He is survived by his wife, Sadie Ruth Kennamore Buchanan of Bethel Springs, Tennessee; three daughters, Beverly Collins of Deanburg, Tennessee, Patricia Oliver of Oakland, Tennessee, Cathy Myers of Sardis, Tennessee; one son, Ernest Buchanan of Lawrenceburg, Tennessee; one brother, Orvil Buchanan of Tyler, Texas; 11 Grandchildren, 1 Great Grandchild as well as several nieces and nephews.
