George Allison

George (Granddaddy) Allisonwas born in Hardin County, Tennessee on December 17, 1916 the son of the late Clayburn and Molly Ingle Allison.Mr. Allison had lived in Memphis, Tennessee since 1960. He was the owner and operator of George's Exxon in Memphis, Tennessee for 32 years and he was also a carpenter for 32 years. He loved to fish and hunt. Mr. Allison departed this life on Tuesday, November 25, 2008 at his home at the age of 91 years, 11 months, 8 days.He is survived by a daughter: Jane Cashdollar of Plano, Texas; 7 grandchildren: Mike Moses, Mark Moses, Jim Moses, Jana Howell, Jerry Cashdollar, Craig Cashdollar, and Chris Cashdollar; 12 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild.In addition to his parents, Mr. Allison was preceded in death by his wife: Christine Austin Allison on March 27, 1991; a daughter: Deanna Moses; a brother: Delmar Allison; a sister: Hester Allison.
