Geneva Whitten was born November 17, 1927 in McNairy County, Tennessee the daughter of the late Thomas Richard and Emma Nell Callens Lacefield.She was united in marriage to Curnice Whitten who preceded her in death on September 14, 1993.Mrs. Whitten was a retired In House Custodian for ITT for 21 years, as well as a homemaker. She was a member of the Church Of God in Bethel Springs, Tennessee. Mrs. Whitten departed this life on May 4, 2008 in Jackson, Tennessee at the age of 80 Years, 5 Months, 17 Days. She is survived by two daughters, Bama (Whitten) Conaway and husband Don of Adamsville, TN, Neva (Whitten) Davis of Adamsville, TN; four sons, Jerry Whitten and wife Sandy of Stantonville, TN, Garry Curnice Whitten of Selmer, TN, Danny Richard Whitten and wife Sharon of Crump, TN, Steve Whitten and wife Belinda of Ramer, TN; 14 Grandchildren and 12 Great Grandchildren.In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Whitten was preceded in death by five sisters, Nina Lacefield, Emma J. Lacefield, Jewell C. Butler, Thelma Foster, Lula B. Hines; three brothers, Forest Lacefield, Ed Lacefield, Thomas Lacefield; and two grandchildren.
