Geneva Risner

Geneva Gallaher Risner of Columbia, TN formerly of Collinwood, TN was born October 17, 1919 in Wayne Co., TN, the daughter of the late William J. and Nancy Matilda Leona Daniel Gallaher. She was united in marriage to Raleigh Risner and he precedofed her in death on July 30, 1970.
Mrs. Risner was a retired cafeteria cook and of the Baptist faith.
Mrs. Risner departed this life on Sunday, January 27, 2013 at NHC Healthcare in Columbia, Tennessee at the age of 93 Years, 3 Months, 10 Days.
She is survived by sons, G. W. Risner of Lake City, FL, Raleigh (Red) Risner Jr. of Collinwood, TN; a daughter, Betty Daniel of Shelbyville, TN; a sister, Juanita Sandusky of Poplar Bluff, MO; 16 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Risner was preceded in death by a son, James Leon Risner; daughters, Alice Eloise Christian, Syble Fitzgerald; brothers, Elburn, Walker, and Bud Gallaher; sisters, Rosa, Emma, Ruby, and Irin Gallaher.
Services will be held on Tuesday, January 29, 2013 at 1:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Directors Chapel, Collinwood, Tennessee, with Greg Eaton officiating and Shackelford Funeral Directors, Wayne County, directing. Burial will follow in the Butler Grove Cemetery, Last Butler Road, near Collinwood, Tennessee.
Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
