Gene Autry Wolfe

was born February 8, 1940 in McNairy County, Tennessee the son of the late Jon Carnell and Georgia Velma Wolfe.He was united in marriage to Shirley Ann Bridges on November 27, 1975.He was Member the Calvary Baptist Church and Attended Scotts Hill Methodist Church. He worked on a river boat for six years and later at Columbus McKinnie for 27 and 1/2 years and never missed a day of work.Mr. Wolfe departed this life on April 2, 2010 in Jackson, Tennessee at the age of 70 Years, 1 Month, 25 Days.He is survived by his wife Shirley Ann (Bridges) Wolfe of Sardis, TN; two daughters, Marilyn Ann Long of Kodak, Tn, Margaret Annette Sickler of Sardis, TN; four grandchildren, Emily Long, Christina Hudson, Jonathan Long, Amber Mitchell and a brother, Charles Wolfe of Algonquin, IL; In addition to his parents, Mr. Wolfe was preceded in death by a sister, Wilma Porter; six brothers, James Wolfe, George Wolfe, John Henry Wolfe, Jerry Wolfe, Joe Wolfe, Donnie Wolfe. Services will be held on April 5, 2010 at 12:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Directors-Johnson Chapel in Henderson, Tennessee, with Bro. Billy Allegood officiating. Burial will follow in the Milledgeville Cemetery at Milledgeville, Tennessee.
