Gene Bingham
was born on June 27, 1933 in Hardin County, Tennessee the son of the late George Levert and Mary Exie Smith Bingham.
On April 21, 1967 he was united in marriage to the former Martha Littlefield, who preceded him in death on April 29, 2006.
Mr. Bingham was a veteran of the U.S. Army and worked as a plant technician for Centurytel telephone service in Adamsville. He lived all of his life in Saltillo, Tennessee and was a member of the Saltillo United Methodist Church.
He departed this life on November 6, 2006 at the West Tennessee Transitional Care facility in Jackson, Tennessee at the age of 73 years, 4 months and 10 days.
Mr. Bingham is survived by his daughter, Jena Margaret Bingham Cook and her husband, Phillip, of Sikeston, Missouri; 3 grandchildren: Trey Cook, Sarah Cook and Sam Cook; one sister, Patsy Parker and her husband, Wallace Allen, of Saltillo, Tennessee; 2 nephews: Mike Parker and his wife, Kathy and Joe Parker and his wife, Faye;
2 nieces: Angie Brown and her husband, Donnie and Mary Martin and her husband, Randy; 9 great-nieces and 2 great-nephews.
In addition to his wife, Martha Littlefield Bingham, and his parents, he was preceded in death by a great-nephew, Clint Martin.
