Services for Gaynes Hardy (Shorty) Rich, age 63, Waynesboro, TN, will be Tuesday, July 11, 2006 at 1:00 pm at Shackelford Funeral Home Chapel, Wayesboro, with James Kayler and Marvin Champion officiating. Burial will bein Memorial Gardens,
Collinwood,, TN with Shackelford Funeral Directors of Wayne County in charge of the arrangements. Pallbearers will be Michael Duren, Chip Phillips, Richie Bevis, Harold D. Rich, Michael Statom, Mark Statom and honorary pallbearers will be Lonnie Morgan and Steve Stutts.
He died at his home on Sunday, July 9, 2006 after an extended illness.
A native of Cypress Inn, TN, Shorty, was the founder of H. C. G., Inc. and was a member of Waynesboro First United Methodist Church. He was a son of the late Gaynes T. Rich.
Survivors, wife, Betty Turnbow Rich, daughters, Regina Rich Skelton, Deadra Rich Keaton, Amanda Joy Rich Curry, all of Waynesboro, TN, stepson, Randy Casteel, Clifton, TN, stepdaughters, Lisa Morton, Paige Jackson, both of Waynesboro, TN, grandchildren, Brandon and Samantha Skelton, Gaynes Holt Keaton, step-grandchildren, Bethany and Hayden Franks, Drew and Preston Casteel, Garrin Morton, mother, Clora Bell Berry (Ma) Rich, brother, Paul Ernest Rich, both of Waynesboro, TN, sisters, Jo Ann Statom, Collinwood, TN, Gainelle Bevis, Teresa Evans, both of Waynesboro, TN, Rosena Phillips, Florence, AL, several nieces and nephews
