Services for Gary Dewayne Skaggs of Leoma, TN will be Wednesday, July 8, 2009 at 1:00 PM at Collinwood Church of God with Josh Stults and Dan Buie officiating. Burial will follow in Jackson Cemetery with Shackelford Funeral Directors of Wayne County in charge of arrangements.Gary was born October 10, 1972 in Florence, Alabama. Mr. Skaggs died Friday, July 3, 2009 at Crockett Hospital in Lawrenceburg, Tennessee at the age of 36 Years, 8 Months, 23 Days. He is preceded in death by a brother, Jason Skaggs; grandparents, Buford Butler and Vinnie Skaggs, great-grandparents, Dewey and Jewel Stults, Wiley and Madgie Skaggs, Prince and Jimmie Cummins. and an uncle Roger Skaggs. He was a disabled mechanic and of the Baptist faith.He is survived by his wife Regina Pigg Skaggs of Leoma, TN; two sons, Scotty Skaggs and Skyler Skaggs both of Lutts, TN; daughter, Gwendolyn Skaggs of Leoma, TN; mother and step-father, Sharon Butler Newton and her husband Ricky of Lawrenceburg, TN; father and stepmother, Larry Skaggs and his wife Janice of Florence, AL; brother, Gregory Lee Skaggs and his wife Rose of Iron City, sister, Betty Skaggs of Florence, AL; grandmother, Ella Marie Butler of Collinwood; grandfather, Dalton Skaggs and his wife Liz of Collinwood.
