Gary Wayne Shedd

Services for Gary Wayne Shedd, 53, Collinwood, TN, will be Monday, September 3, 2007 at 3 pm at Shackelford Funeral Home Chapel in Waynesboro, TN with Laverne Griggs and Prince Cummins, Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Deerfield Cemetery, Lawrenceburg, TN with Shackelford Funeral Directors of Wayne County in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will be Sunday, September 2, 2007 from 6 pm to 9 pm and Monday, September 3, 2007 from 9 am until service time at the funeral home. He died at Maury Regional Hospital in Columbia, TN on Saturday, September 1, 2007 following a battle with cancer.



Mr. Shedd, a native of Lawrence County, TN, was a disabled correctional officer, a member of Eastview Baptist Church, a member of the Masonic Lodge, and a United States Army veteran. He was a son of the late Ruffis Royal Shedd.



Survivors, wife, Brenda Perry Shedd, Collinwood, TN; son, Greg Shedd, Mountain City, TN; stepson, Shane Gilliam, Murfreesboro, TN; three grandchildren; mother, Iva Dell Mattox Shedd; brother, Mark (Donna) Shedd; sister, Eva Joyce (Hooper, Jr.) Skelton, all of Waynesboro, TN; aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
